The JARD Sear Assembly for the Springfield Armory® Hellion delivers premium trigger performance. It upgrades your trigger by reducing the pull weight to 3.5 - 5 lbs. depending on adjustment and preference. It also greatly reduces the travel of the trigger, providing quicker break and faster reset. Installation of this sear pack is drop in ready.

The replacement sear pack is housed in a machined aircraft grade aluminum housing, providing lasting durability and reliability. Internal parts are made from milled steel.

Great upgrade

Fantastic improvement of the Hellion trigger and being a drop-in trigger, anyone can do it. , just remove the old trigger pack put in this one. Very well made and fits nice and snug. Eliminates most of the slop in the beginning and give you a nice solid wall with a clean break, unlike the factory squish. A real two stage trigger. Much better reset too. Took it to the range to test and was very happy. They obviously addressed the lockback on empty issue because it worked every time with 3 different mags. Definitely recommend!

Exceptional Trigger Upgrade!

This is an excellent one-stop solution to improving the Hellion trigger. No need to send off for custom work, just remove the old part and drop in the new one. It's a bit of a tight fit, but I think that might actually be a good thing for removing any wiggle or play. Trigger did not need any adjustments from the factory (at least for me) and the break/reset are shorter. Retains the two-stage feel but it is much nicer. Highly recommend.

Saves the VHS-2/Hellion

Write a review? Don’t mind if I do. Jard went and saved this gun and if Springfield had some sense they’d come up with an economical way to bulk order these and have them in every new gun. Supremely easy install, pop the old cassette out (seriously Springfield you chose the lamest name you could have called this the Betamax or something clever like that) and pop the new one in. Goes from a super long, spongy unpredictable shelf and nuts reset to a solid take up crisp wall and short break. Reset is quick, I’d say this is just shy of a jizzele SSA but frankly even approaching that in a bullpup is extremely impressive. With a 1.5-4 LPVO I credit this trigger with helping me pull off 1.5-2” groups with M193 at 100yds, if you buy one aftermarket part for your VHS2 (I know, you spent 1600-1800 and are immediately spending another 300) make it this. Hats off to you JARD, if yall ever do a super safety compatible version somehow you’d make my entire year. Think about it.

Best upgrade for the Hellion

I absolutely love my Springfield Hellion—it's rock-solid reliable and has a striking design. But let’s be honest—the trigger left a lot to be desired. For a while, I held off on finding a solution. Living in Puerto Rico made sending my Hellion off for upgrades a challenge. Then I stumbled across a forum where others were talking about the Jard Sear upgrade for the Hellion. The price definitely influenced my decision, but the fact that I could install it myself was a huge bonus. To my surprise, the Sear arrived within a week. After installing it, I was blown away by the difference—it's like a completely new trigger experience. If you own a Hellion and want to elevate your shooting experience, this upgrade is a game-changer. Highly recommend. Thank you!

From 'meh' to crisp

Not my first bullpup experience. Wasn't expecting the stock trigger to be great or even more than tolerable. This upgrade more than fixed the issue, it makes firing the Hellion into a pleasant experience. Would heartily recommend any Hellion owners to pick this up. Easy to install. Crisp takeup, very glass like break, great reset. It's going to surprise anyone you show your Hellion off to who's fired any bullpup.

Pretty damn good

I had a chance to try it out this afternoon, and it's noticeably better. A distinct wall, and breaks at 3.75-ish lbs right out of the box. It feels like a Ghost Connector inside a Glock trigger, in that there's still the slightest bit of creep before it breaks, but it's much more predictable, and the reset is shorter. There's likely more adjustment that can be done to the pack, but I was happy with it so I didn't bother tweaking it. I like that it comes as a whole new trigger pack, so I still have the original in case something breaks, and it's very easy to install. Since you're not changing the trigger itself, there's still a fair amount of over travel sadly. Directly comparing to my RDB trigger, the Jard Hellion trigger is less crisp, but lighter in pull weight.

Easy way to get twice as much out of your hellion

This is the quintessential upgrade for your VHS2/hellion. It smoothes the trigger down to a beautiful short length of pull and perfect wall, making shooting effortless. The added benefit of the JARD unit in particular is not having to send out your FCU and being able to keep the old one as a backup part.

Investigator

This has transformed the trigger pull from a long drawn out travel to something much closer to that of an AR. I now use my Hellion when we do search warrants as I feel much more confident with our it. Worth the money!

JARD Hellion Trigger Pack

Perhaps the most capability-enhancing upgrade not getting as much attention as it should for the Springfield Hellion. For bullpups having rearward center of gravity letting the strong arm support more weight, I’ve preferred heavier triggers and was rightly skeptical of dropping this pack in replacing the OEM pack. Was easy to install and equally surprised at how crisp the break is now. Looking forward to breaking this in more. Thank you for considering upgrading this rifle to a better performance level for the commercial market, JARD.

Wonderful
